An example of technology being used is Renishaw’s XM60, this is capable of measuring errors in six degrees of freedom along a linear axis simultaneously from a single setup. Renishaw’s XK10 unit provides the perfect partner to the XM60 allowing multi axis measurements (parallelism, orthogonality of two axis). The software for both these products can be linked to ISO standards.
The strategy for measurement principles is based around the latest technology allowing faster, more accurate testing and direct data capture, with the aim to have the measurement equipment 10 times the accuracy of the artifact being measured.
With this technology, MTT can offer even more refined machine calibration and maintenance services to its customers, reducing machine downtime and improving overall productivity. The XM-60 enables MTT’s engineers to perform highly detailed assessments and adjustments, ensuring optimal machine tool performance.
